Our Experience Adopting Yoda - A Truly Exceptional Sphynx Yoda has been with us since February, now 8 months, and from the moment he arrived, he instantly became part of our family. I initially had some worries, as my wee boy is still quite young, but Yoda has been incredibly gentle and aware from the start. He waits by the door when it’s time for nursery pickup and as soon as my son walks in Yoda runs to him and starts playing. He seems to instinctively understand the difference between playing with a child and playing with an adult, adjusting his energy. The two of them truly behave like brothers. What has amazed us most is Yoda’s emotional intelligence. He knows when it’s play time, quiet time and even bedtime. When my son is upset, Yoda will quietly snuggle up beside him, offering comfort without prompting. He is not only smart, he’s tuned in, calm and emotionally present in the most touching way. This is our first Sphynx and we are completely in love. Yoda is a beautiful, intelligent and deeply affectionate companion and we know this is a direct result of the care and excellence Amanda and Stuart put into their breeding. Yoda is a true testament to the quality of their Sphynx cats not just physically, but temperamentally and emotionally. Amanda and Stuart have also been incredibly supportive since Yoda joined us. We’ve stayed in touch, sending them updates, and they’re always genuinely delighted to hear how he’s getting on. Their warmth and dedication continue long after the adoption.
